Ryda dot com select LSI
RYDA, Specialists in Car Audio, Car Security, Navigation and Communication products, since 1956. Shop here online or drop by one of our stores today!
To meet the distribution challenges of ever increasing online internet sales, Ryda dot com went to market to find technologies that would provide automation, accuracy and scalability in their distribution processes.
LSI’s iSupply Lite technology was selected to meet these challenges; iSupply Lite is a Scan Pack and Freight Management system which will seamlessly integrate with Ryda dot com’s newly acquired ERP technology – Microsoft Dynamics GP (supplied by LSI partner – Bortell) to provide automation of invoice generation, order checking and confirmation, carrier documentation (electronic and/or hardcopy) and carrier invoice reconciliation. Moreover, iSupply Lite’s Freight Management component contains “freight shopping” functionality which compares 3rd party carrier rates and service levels to ensure the most appropriate carrier is selected for delivery of each customer order.
With over 50 years experience in the traditional retail market - Ryda dot com takes pride in its customer service excellence. iSupply Lite meets and enhances these high levels of customer service by providing complete visibility (for both Ryda dot com and their customer), accuracy and traceability of customer orders from order entry through to Proof of Delivery from the carrier.
In addition, LSI’s technology – iSupply is totally modular in design allowing additional functionality to be added as Ryda dot com’s warehousing and distribution requirements grow. It is currently envisaged that stage two of the iSupply implementation will include iSupply’s RF scanning modules for Picking, Cycle Counting and Receiving.
Pet Pacific automate their distribution through iSupply Lite (RF)
In business for over 30 years, Pet Pacific has grown from an Aquarium retail outlet into the largest distributor of Pet related products in Australia and is the sole Australian distributor for Hagen - the world’s largest supplier of Pet products to independent trade.
Processing over 300 orders per day through a manual paper-based system, Pet Pacific decided to look for a more efficient means of distributing from their centralised warehouse at Emu Plains and went to market to find technologies that could provide this.
LSI’s iSupply Lite with RF Picking was chosen as the technology that could provide automation, accuracy and enhanced customer service levels.
iSupply Lite includes an RF Task Monitor which allows the warehouse supervisor to allocate, prioritise and monitor the performance of the warehouse, whilst the RF picking application directs the ‘picker’ on the shortest route through warehouse and ensures the correct product, in the correct quantity is picked from the correct location.
Once the order has been completed, all other processes are completely automated. To despatch the order, the picker scans a barcoded carton identifier, iSupply recognises the order the carton belongs to and the customer who placed the order - the customer’s default carrier is auto-selected and carrier specific freight documentation (electronic and/or hardcopy) is generated. A carrier specific freight cost and customer specific freight recharge is also generated. The confirmed pickslip detail, freight costs and recharges are forwarded to the Pet Pacific ERP system - Jiwa. Jiwa automatically confirms the order, generates an invoice (based on the products picked/despatched and freight recharge generated) and prints an invoice in real-time ready for attachment to the goods being despatched.
Bic Australia replace stand-alone systems with integrated iSupply technology
Bic Australia, the preeminent supplier of disposable lighters, pens and shavers has selected iSupply as their warehouse management system in Australia.
Prior to the implementation of Phase one of the iSupply warehouse management system, Bic Australia were managing their warehouse by manual, paper-based systems along with a mishmash of stand-alone systems to comply with Bic trading partners (i.e. Carriers and Retailers). Processing over 300 orders per day, this process was inefficient and error prone, requiring the rekeying of data multiple times into disparate ‘islands of information’.
iSupply Lite (integrated Scan Pack and Freight Management) was implemented as Stage 1 of the iSupply implementation to address the immediate requirement to eliminate the rekeying of data and provide a holistic view of warehousing and distribution information. As integration specialists LSI were able to replace all of the existing stand-alone scan pack, freight management and pallet management systems and provide seamless integration to the Bic ERP system – i2 (provided by LSI partner – Infor).
Stage 2 of the implementation will see the introduction of the complete features of the iSupply warehouse management system, including: RF Receiving, Cycle Counting, Picking/Packing and inventory management.
IGC go-live with LSI’s iSupply Lite
IGC was created in 1974, when Robert Berchik launched a range of high quality prams and strollers, especially designed for Australian babies. IGC is the proud manufacturer and distributor of the most recognized and loved brands in the baby nursery business, like bertini, Mother's Choice, Go Safe, ZuZu, Disney, Aunger and Holden Licensed products.
Over time, the company has diversified and globally engaged in the designing, manufacturing and development of the baby nursery market.
In February 2007 a new era brings an exciting announcement of the amalgamation with Dorel Industries. Bringing a diverse portfolio of consumer brands, such as Quinny and Safety 1st.
All of IGC Dorel brands are distributed to major retail customers and specialist outlets, both within Australia and overseas.
To cater for IGC-Dorel’s large distribution volumes and the compliance requirements of their major customers (e.g. Myers, David Jones, Big W, Target), IGC Dorel commissioned LSI to implement their iSupply Lite Scan Pack technology.
LSI worked closely with their partner - Professional Advantage to provide an integrated and highly automated Scan Pack solution that would provide automation of their distribution process, integration with the IGC-Dorel’s ERP system - Dynamics Ax, and compliance with all of IGC-Dorel’s major customers.
Stage 2 of the implementation will see the addition of LSI’s Freight Management module; providing carrier compliant electronic and/or hardcopy documentation, freight rate shopping and negates the need for any rekeying of distribution information.
